NeMO 2004 was September 18-29, 2004 on the Research Vessel Thomas Thompson using the Remotely Operated Vehicle ROPOS to further explore Axial Volcano. A new NeMO Net system was deployed to record temperature and pressure changes in near real-time as well as the ability for scientists on shore to signal the taking of chemical samples at any time.
