Global Observations of Biogeochemistry and Ocean Physics

Zachary Erickson is an oceanographer at NOAA’s Pacific Marine Environmental Laboratory (PMEL), with a research focus on physical dynamics, bio-physical interactions, and carbon export. He is a PI with the US GO-SHIP program, which uses long-term in situ observations of temperature, salinity, oxygen, and other tracers to understand how the ocean is evolving on decadal time scales, and is broadly interested in integrating biological and optical oceanography measurements into observational platforms to understand bio-physical interactions and how they are responding to our changing environment.

For opportunities for graduate students or postdocs, please email Dr. Erickson directly. Undergraduate students interested in doing research can learn more about Undergraduate Opportunities here. K-12 students should consider signing up for NOAA Science Camp.
