More info on the temperature probes |
Temperature data from NeMO NeT began to be accumulated on July 14, 2000. The variation seen in Probes A and B is due to tidal influences and currents as plumes of warm water wave back and forth over the probes. Probe C was placed on the camera system itself and does not experience these tidal effects to the extent of A and B, giving the smoother-looking data record. |
