embleyi |
axial status: Patchy |

& Hourdez, 2002 |
This species was first
collected after Axial's 1998 eruption, where it was found in large numbers
grazing on bacterial mats covering the new lavas. It was also seen
after the CoAxial eruption in 1993, although it was not collected then.
This is a newly described species and appears to be adapted to post-eruption
conditions. It is generally not observed between eruptions. |
