Proceeding to the right along the fold of the map, the next contour line that crosses the fold has a depth of 1529. Slide the map upward slightly on the worksheet to move from 1530 to 1529 depth on the y-axis. Mark another dot at 1529 depth on the worksheet where the 1529 contour line crosses the fold on the map. Continue in this way, working from left to right, and marking a dot at the correct depth on the worksheet each time a contour crosses the fold of the map.

 For each new contour, you will have to slide the folded map up or down over the worksheet to find the right depth on the worksheet. Remember to keep the margins of the map and the worksheet in alignment, as you slide the map up and down over the worksheet.
