Japanese Kuroshio Extension Observatory (37.9°N, 146.6°E)

The Japanese Kuroshio Extension Observatory (JKEO) moored buoy was located north of the Kuroshio Extension at 146°E, 38°N. It was a collaborative effort with the PMEL Ocean Climate Station (OCS) and JAMSTEC. It was deployed as a companion to the KEO mooring. The JKEO mooring was deployed with the PMEL MAPCO2TM system from February 18, 2007 until October 4, 2007.
