WHOTS buoy
Off the coast of Hawaii, the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution (WHOI) Hawaii Ocean Time-series Station buoy makes measurements of air-sea carbon dioxide, seawater pH, and other oceanographic parameters. The WHOTS buoy data was used in research published in 2021 to understand the impact of COVID-related CO2 emission reductions on ocean carbon. (Photo credit: Al Plueddemann, WHOI)
